Today, there are various types of cups to choose for cupping such as rubber cups, bamboos, cupping glass or plastic cups.

In our Research Institute of Medical Acupuncture at Kg Gelang Mas, Pasir Mas, Kelantan, we found out that the glasses and plastic cups seem to work well and hold up better.

   * Traditional Cupping or Vacuum Cupping
   
   Traditional Cupping are the one that need some kind of fire to create a vacuum, while the vacuum cups ( a newer type) have a pump so that no fire is needed.
